Vivre d'amour - Canon - Score Cover

Vivre d’amour – Canon

I composed the canon Vivre d’amour in 2002. It is a very simple devotional song based on a text of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, the famous French Carmelite nun. Written for unisson choir, it can be accompanied on piano or guitar. The men ostinato bass line can be doubled by a cello or a bassoon.

This song has been published in 2021 by the Arbre Noir Editions and was recorded by my friends Raphaëlle Mellot and Dominique Lang.

Love Came Down at Christmas - Score Cover

Love Came Down at Christmas

Love Came Down at Christmas is the very first Christmas carol that I composed for the International Choir and Orchestra of Ho Chi Minh City in 2016. Based on lyrics of Christina Rossetti, this lovely poem invites us to contemplate the humble love of God for humankind and how this movement of God towards us eventually saves us.
The music is at the same time sweet and passionate, bright and meditative, to express this non-instinctive wonder of the extraordinary of God in the ordinary of life.
