Franz Xaver Gruber (25 November 1787 – 7 June 1863), was an Austrian primary school teacher, church organist and composer in the village of Arnsdorf, who is best known for composing the music to "Stille Nacht" ("Silent Night").
This sanctus from the Messe du Royaume was composed in 1999 and was published in the magazine Voix Nouvelles n°100. It was first performed at Festi’Paroisses, a big event of the Diocese of Cambrai, celebrating the new organization of parishes.
