I love when different musical universes meet and collide!
Here is a wonderful example of improvisation on Strike the Viol by Henry Purcell, performed by L’Arpeggiata and Christina Pluhar.

Bénis le Seigneur, Ô mon âme – Psalm 103 was composed in 2015 for choir SATB, soloist and organ. It combines a classical counterpoint for the antiphon, and more modern harmonies for the verses. This psalm was published in the national magazine Voix Nouvelles.
