Fugue 4 Parts – String Quartet

Free

I wrote this Fugue 4 Parts during my composition studies in 2005. Even if it was “just” an exercise, I really consider this piece as an actual composition work, which I like to play every now and then. There are two versions of the fugue: a version for organ and a version for string quartet. You can download the string quartet version here. For the organ version, please go there.

Laudate Dominum - Score Cover

Laudate Dominum

Laudate Dominum is a Christmas carol that starts with the psalm 130, De profundis, which is sung for the second vespers of Christmas, and expresses the cry of the Christ, descended on earth, to his Father. It is followed by a tenor aria with some lyrics from the Gospel of Luke (2, 10), when the angel comes to announce the birth of Jesus. It is finally concluded by a very long fugue on the Psalm 117, Laudate Dominum Omnes Gentes, used as an antiphon during the Christmas liturgical time.
