Era

Era

Era (stylized +eRa+) is a musical project founded by the French musician Eric Lévi, former member of the rock group Shakin 'Street. The first album released in 1996, Era, in an inspiration close to Carmina Burana, was a great commercial success by mixing themes of original music interpreted by a choir (singing in invented language), with electric guitar, strings and synthesizers; music that could be described as new age.

The visual universe of Era is the counterpart of her musical inspiration, it uses signs and feelings close to the religious and the medieval universe. it explores a universal dimension, a universe of emotions, spiritual and mystical. Era's songs are in an imaginary language close to medieval Latin and in various other languages, such as English or Arabic.

Fugue 4 Parts – Organ

I wrote this Fugue 4 Parts during my composition studies in 2005. Even if it was “just” an exercise, I really consider this piece as an actual composition work, which I like to play every now and then. There are two versions of the fugue: a version for organ and a version for string quartet. You can download the organ version here. For the string quartet version, please go there.
