I composed Toi qui as entendu<\/strong> very recently, after discovering this wonderful poem by Odile Riondet<\/em><\/a> at the yearly general assembly of ACCREL<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0Inspired by the Gospel of John, chapter 3, it is meant to be used for baptisms or for the second week of easter and is built around a single word: “Chante !” (“Sing!” in French).<\/p>\n

This version, written for choir SATB<\/em><\/a> and organ<\/em><\/a>, is constantly moving, and the voices are responding to one another, highlighting the most meaningful words of the text. The harmony navigates from bright colors to a more intimate and meditative atmosphere, reflecting the inner joy that the text wants to express.<\/p>\n
